Doug practices primarily in construction law, but also practices in other types of civil litigation, transactional matters, and insurance coverage matters. He has a particularly strong background in the construction industry, including a B.S. in Construction Management and almost ten years of experience as a remodeling contractor. Before joining Fisher Bren & Sheridan, LLP, Doug worked under the General Counsel of a large Minneapolis general contractor where he participated in arbitration proceedings, mediations, and litigation, drafted contracts, assisted in contract and settlement negotiations, handled commercial transactions and disputes, analyzed insurance coverage issues, and gained exposure to many other legal and business matters. This experience provided Doug with the opportunity to work closely with upper level executives and stakeholders, giving him a unique perspective on what is important to a company and its owners.
