Scott M. Strand

Scott Strand has dedicated over two decades to his career as a civil litigator, with a primary emphasis on insurance litigation, personal injury and wrongful death cases. His background has provided him with a thorough understanding of the intricacies within these areas of law. Scott’s approach goes beyond representation, emphasizing personalized legal strategies designed to meet each client’s distinct needs.

In insurance litigation, Scott has extensive experience handling hundreds of insurance defense cases for insurance companies and their clients, defending against liability claims such as personal injury, products liability, and property damage. Scott also advises insurers on first-party insurance disputes and coverage issues. Additionally, he manages subrogation cases for some of his insurer clients.

Scott is deeply engaged in the legal community and has held leadership roles in several prestigious associations. He has served as president of multiple organizations, including the North Dakota Defense Lawyers Association, the Cass County Bar Association, the Clay County Bar Association, and the Seventh District Bar Association in Minnesota. Additionally, he represented the Districts of North Dakota and South Dakota as a district representative of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. Scott remains an active member of the North Dakota and Minnesota State Bar Associations, as well as the Defense Research Institute.

Scott also contributes to the local community by serving on the Board of Directors for Access of the Red River Valley and as a current board member of the Fargo Theatre.
